Dear robert,
We were so pleased to have had the opportunity to come to Belfast
and to see things we hadn't before- we had not been to the Giant's
Causeway or Bushmills and those were a great treat. But the greatest
reward , de Lorean not withstanding, was to see such a happy smiling
Belfast! My goodness, how the place has changed since we last
had a good look around.
I was very happy to talk to everybody and I am glad that they
enjoyed it all, but it was a considerable ego trip for me and
I am a little concerned that it is turning into a bit of a personality
cult- I was only one of a team that produced the thing, and I
didn't see things the management's way at that- and told them
so (and I was right!). Thanks again for doing all that you did
for us, we enjoyed the stay, and the trips to and from were painless.
Very Best Regards,
Anne and Mike Loasby (Former Director of Engineering at DMCL)

Dear
All,
I've just got back from a few days in Scotland to recover from
Eurofest. I would just like to say a very big thank you to Robert
Lamrock for organising such a fantastically fully packed few days
in Belfast and to everyone involved with setting it up and making
it all happen, including the hotel Europa's for letting use the
staff lifts. One Black Bush & coke coming up Robert.

Hi
Robert,
Last summer you responded to my post about the little zee cars,
and asked if I'd be at Eurofest 2001. Well that seemed impossible
at the time, but lo and behold, dreams do come true! My son and
I were there, and we had a terrific time! ( I was the big guy
who kept pestering you about the check-in package and schedule).
You did a terrific job. I hope you have a chance to rest and relax
a bit! We really enjoyed Northern Ireland...we've never been there,
though I've often been to England.

Hi Robert,
Just a short note to say how fantastic Eurofest was, and to thank
you for all your months of effort and time. I am still recovering!

A
heads-up note!!! I found where that article was that I mentioned
in Bushmills. It's in "Ireland on Sunday" newspaper
and is a pretty nice article..picture of me and car in front of
Stormont, John Z DeLorean, and Dutch couple with kid in car. If
you pick up this email tonight you'll be able to grab a copy,
if not I've got a couple to spare.
You put together an excellent event and I thank you for a very
enjoyable time back in Belfast. Cheers.

Robert,
Although I didn't participate in all events I want you to know
how much I enjoyed Eurofest 2001 and would like to congratulate
you on the way you put the whole event together so successfully.
It must have been a mammoth task. I had lost a certain amount
of interest in my car due to a problem which Chris Parnham helped
me to resolve. This was the failure to start when warm which led
to some embarrassing situations with onlookers. Now I have a renewed
interest.
Thank you again for an excellent weekend.

Dear
Rob,
May I take this opportunity to thank you for all your efforts
for organising the Northern Ireland DeLorean Show for the four
days, and how much both myself and my father enjoyed it. I would
also like to say that it was quite surprising to see so many vast
enthusiasts for the DeLorean car and motor company from around
the globe.

Hi
Rob, Congratulations on a superb event, we thoroughly enjoyed
it and got home to Hertfordshire at 2.10am this morning.

Hello
Robert,
Just a quick
email to tell you how impressed me and my father were of the organizing
of the DeLorean Eurofest! You are the best!
We enjoyed everything (although we were much to late for the banquet
on Saturday). Somehow I had misread and was certain the banquet
started at 9, so we spent the afternoon in Belfast, then drove
with Cyril (the Frenchman) to Dunmurry for some evening photos
of our DeLoreans outside Montupet. Factory workers were all over
and I let them test drive the car. Cyril drove back, after parking
at Warren Guesthouse, we got to the Europa around 9.30 finding
a lot of people wandering around. Then we realised we had been
mistaken of the time (Yeah I know the BTTF line: "Your late,
you have no concept of time!").
Anyway, a lot of people were talking to me about a prize for furthest
driven DeLorean. I got that prize from Don Gowler who stayed at
the same guesthouse as ourselves. I also got a plaque from DMC
Houston for the judging of the Concours, so with these two prizes
I must say I am happy! Also thanks for letting us participate
in the Lord Mayor's Parade! I will never forget it!!! It was awesome!!!
Once more- thank you so much for us having a great time in Belfast!
I will definetely come back some day!!! Great city, great people,
great show!!!
BTW, the DeLorean had NO trouble on it's way back home to Norway!
